Treebeard

Are back on the road again with Paul on bass, and special guests Ceri Ashton (from Derwenna) joining us on flute for most of the shows, including one at the Boardwalk with Psi-Phi.

Having Ceri play with the band has enabled us to introduce some great flute led songs to the repertoire, so whenever she's with us we've been playing 'Witches Promise' from Jethro Tull, 'Nights in White Satin' from The Moody Blues, 'Solsbury Hill' from Peter Gabriel, and our very own 'A Firkin Of Mead' from Haze. We've also included a set of Ceri's fantastic original tunes 'Ale Jug' and 'Rice'. And she's also mounted a credible challenge to Paul Chisnell hitherto undisputed title as the hardest drinking in the band, notching up an impressive (for a girl ;-)) 6 1/2 pints during a recent all day gigging marathon.

Silverwheel

Have been very busy, with dates at the Cricketers, The Newark Beer Festival, Herringthorpe Leisure Centre (for the Race for Life Charity), Devonshire Jam & The Walkley Festival in Ruskin Park. We've also started work on demo-ing some tracks, and will soon have a website in place at www.silverwheel.net. We will also be appearing at this year's Sheffield Beer Festival (29th Sept) and Folk Festival (29th Oct).
